Being stranded in a foreign country during #covid19 pandemic can be emotionally difficult. Our partner in #Myanmar @Feti’a assistance assisted four French citizens in Yangon earlier this year. Soliciting both their professional and personal networks, they went beyond client’s requirements by providing lifestyle assistance and concierge services to the stranded patients, with the full support of the French embassy and patients’ family in France. Not only they liaised with the hospital to monitor their medical condition, but they also delivered homemade comfort food prepared by a French chef, provided for daily needs in personal medication, towels, clothes, hygiene products, books and magazines… A great dose of patience and perseverance was necessary due to the many logistical challenges faced with the nationwide public holidays (Buddhist new year) and pandemics related travel restrictions in the city. After almost six weeks of hospitalization and confinement, the patients finally made it home and took the time to send some news and greetings since. Just simple words that made our team happy and proud to have contributed to help them face the situation in the best possible conditions. Simply because #presencematters.
